With over 20 years in global banking in emerging and matured markets like India and Vietnam, Swaroop’s experience covers a spectrum of functions which include consumer lending, sales, credit underwriting, risk management and credit operations.
As one of Validus’ earliest employees, Swaroop has worn various hats and headed multiple teams across the business, and has played a key role in taking Validus from a fintech startup to Singapore’s largest SME financing platform in just a few years. Swaroop will continue to play an instrumental role in helping to pivot Validus in Vietnam, and drive financial inclusion for the many unbanked or underbanked SMEs.
Prior to Validus, Swaroop headed CitiFinancial Consumer Finance as Collections Head for Personal Loans and Prudential as Director of Audit, Groupwide Internal Audit.
Swaroop holds an MBA from Welingkar Institute of Management, Master of Commerce from Sydenham College and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Mumbai.
Chief Operating Officer
Amrit has Over 22 years of experience in the financial services, hotel and telecom industries, with 18 years of strong financial services experience across functions in both consumer finance and banking. He has strong experience across business verticals, including, product management, alliances, risk management, analytics, finance and strategy. Amrit has worked in both mature and emerging markets including India, and Vietnam. With strong conceptualisation & execution skills in establishing businesses & geographies from ground up, he brings expertise in developing enterprising teams and building large distributions in MNCs like Citigroup and Temasek Holdings where he was a founder member.
Head of Investor Relations
Hong has over 17 years of experience in customer service and Priority Banking across MNC’s including HSBC and Techcombank. He spent the last 8 years managing teams across Wealth Management and Priority Banking in Techcombank and most recently served as Director of Affluent Segment. He is passionate about combining wealth management with digital technology to deliver more value to clients.
Head of Finance
Over fifteen years of experience in auditing and driving Business Finance for technology companies, most recently heading Business Finance for DXC Technology Vietnam, strong experience in managing P&L across regional entities, financial reporting, driving company wide budgeting initiatives, and thorough understanding of global accounting and finance practices of a Fortune 500 company.
Duy (Dustin) Tran
Head of Technology
Dustin has 12 years of experience architecting platforms, administering cloud solutions and developing tech solutions for online business end-to-end. Most recently CTO of Isobar Commerce leading development teams across Salesforce, SAP and Magento Platforms. Experience leading offshore teams and administering Salesforce solutions will be integral to Validus Vietnam operations.
Head of HR
Over 20 years working experiences on the Human resources management in the leading Big Four professional firm and International foreign banks on diversify working environment as well as passionate about digital technology services, she will bring expertise in developing enterprising team with close partner with Management team.
Deputy Chief Risk Officer
Ray has been part of Validus Singapore since 2017 as a Credit & Risk Manager and brings to the Vietnam office a deep understanding of the company’s operations and processes. Prior to Validus, he held operational roles in Retail Banking and has experience in credit underwriting for the Commercial Banking segment of United Overseas Bank, a top 3 local bank in Singapore.
Deputy Investor Relations
Duy has more than eight years of cross-industry sales experience in Priority Banking, SME sales and Life insurance including in depth experience working for an SME company in Singapore. Prior to Validus, Duy served as a Sales Head at Standard Chartered Bank covering the North and South areas in Vietnam. He has deep experience in advising on investment products and providing solutions to sophisticated investors on wealth and fund management.
